Elitsa first studied massage therapy at the National Sports Academy in Bulgaria where she gained a strong foundation in Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage. Working in sports clubs for four years after graduation and being very physically active herself brought her further knowledge and experience in addressing specific needs and common injuries for people who are passionate about outdoor activities and sports.
After moving to the U.S. she attended the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage. Not long after graduating, she began working in Washington D.C. where Elitsa noticed there was an urgent need for her skills, particularly among people who sat at desks and in front of computers during extremely long work days with tension and stress accumulating in their bodies from the workplace. She recognized this as a great and important new challenge for her skills.
Although Deep Tissue and Sports are her favorite massage modalities, she believes that no treatment can be effective if the massage is not a relaxing and pleasurable experience. Elitsa is grateful for the opportunity to help others as a massage therapist.
